"Health Self-Management"
This course is designed to enhance the knowledge of students
on their status as chronic patients including diabetes, high
blood pressure and high cholesterol. In each session we will
discuss the necessary skills (technical) to manage and improve
their chronic condition and also to communicate effectively
with their health-care
provider (for example your doctor), to improve their overall
health and increase daily activities throughout the year.
Working areas:
- Techniques dealing with frustration, fatigue, pain and loneliness
- Appropriate exercises for maintaining and improving strength,
flexibility and
endurance.
- The appropriate use of medication.
- Effective communication with family, friends and health professionals
- Nutrition.
- How to take right decisions about your treatment.
- Participants in each course will receive the book "Taking
Control of your Health"
translated into Spanish.
REGISTRATION:
You can register by clicking the registration form available
on the website of the
courses.
Applications will have the date and time of entry (e.g.: will
be effective) into
Education, Health and Society Foundation within the 8 hours
of the following working day at their reception.
During the following 48 hours you will receive the course registration
at your e-mail in duplicate. You can pay at any branch of Banco
Sabadell Atlantico (Bank).
It is not necessary to send us a transfer voucher, the bank
will do it.
The receipt expires in 5 days from the date it was issued.
After that date, we will automatically cancel non-paid registrations.
Health, Education and Society Foundation is not responsible
for the bills paid out of time.
If your receipt has expired and you still have interest in
the course, contact us to confirm remaining vacancy.

COST OF ENROLMENT:
20 Euros book "Taking Control of Your Health" + 80
Euros participation in the virtual course.
Once the enrolment is done we will send you the password for
the course and you will receive the book at home in five days
as well.
The courses are virtual: All the students are connected at
the same time and receive sessions through the Internet.
They are groups for 20 people. Limit of admissions per course.
We will phone you to communicate you have correctly done the
registration.
Upon course completion we will send a diploma supporting you
participation in the course.
